Easter weekend

Friday

Elliott had good Friday off, while I still had to work. He kept Elena home from daycare and they just had a Daddy/daughter day. They came and brought me some Panera lunch and I ended up getting to leave an hour early from work!
Elena has only been taking one nap lately, but I think she is teething again (has 12 so far), so she was napping again when I got home. We decided to do some landscaping in our backyard and added more flowers.
We went to Carter's early that Evening and got Elena some cute jellie's and flip-flops since she had no summer shoes.
Enjoyed some swinging time outside

Saturday

We woke Elena up about 8:10 to get ready for swim. We made our stop at Krispy Kreme before we headed for our 9am swim class. Mimi and Poppa met us there to watch her.
Immediately after, we went to the church next door for a fun filled Easter extravaganza. I thought we would have to practice hunting Easter eggs, but as soon as we showed Elena what to do, she just kept putting more eggs in her basket. They were empty eggs, so as soon as she got 12, we traded for a prize. She was having a great time running around everywhere and petting the doggies that were up for adoption.

We decided to let her open her Easter gifts early because I can never wait, then proceeded to Cracker Barrel for dinner. Our favorite.

Sunday

Elliott made yummy pancakes for breakfast! Oh, and Elena also said pancake for the first time.
We headed to church in our Sunday best. I sadly did not get a family photo of it.
Went to the aquarium after Elena's nap.

Night ended with some Once Upon a Time and The Walking Dead. Hope everyone had a Happy Easter!
Even though we did not get pics on Sunday, Elena's Easter pics are below.

Weekend was a ball!

This weekend we did not have any swim lessons because of spring break. We decided to spend our Saturday getting Easter pictures taken (will post those later), and having lunch with Mimi and Poppa. She got a Puff the Magic Dragon puppet from them and we ate corned beef and cabbage...yum...

Sunday after church then nap, we decided to go to the Tulsa Children's Museum for the first time. We had a blast! Elena's favorite part was definitely the ball pit. She kept going back for more! Sorry for the phone quality pics.

Easter pics coming soon...

V-Day and Spring!

I've done really bad with keeping up with my blog. I have a lot of updates! First, we'll talk about Valentine's Day...
Valentine's Day was a lot of fun this year. Last year, Elena was itty bitty and not as aware of everything. She is always such a happy girl! Now that she has her Pluto we got her, she goes and grabs it anytime Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is on.

The wedding cake ornaments I had made for my husband for V-Day. The right pictures are the actual wedding cakes.
You can order here

Two of the charms I got along with my new Pandora bracelet from my husband!
The heart is Elena's birthstone and the rose is from Beauty and the Beast, my favorite Disney movie.

Delicious cake from my mother-in-law!

Elena in her adorable V-Day outfit! The crochet heart she is holding is made by me :)

In the outfit Mimi got her and the Pluto she got from Mommy and Daddy!

Elena now has 11 teeth and is repeating/trying to repeat everything we say. She says so many things now, I can't even name everything. But just yesterday she said binkee (Brinkley is our dog). Happy and bubbles are my new favorites she says. She also says byeee!! to the dogs every time we leave the house. It is so cute. I have to be careful how many times I say bye to them because she will keep going back to wave and say bye as well.

Oh, and about my crochet projects...here are some that I have done lately. I am currently working on another HP blanket from this blog here.

Carrot bag

They come in adult size too!

Easter baskets

We already have this Easter basket with Elena's name on it, and I already have things lined up to fill it with! Easter is only about 3 weeks away and I just love getting cute things for my girl!

 1. Monogrammed bunny-I just ordered this grey one with her name monogrammed in pink. She loves stuffed animals and this will be a cute keepsake
2. Headwrap-this is just too adorable and so stylish for little girls!
3. Bunny Bracelets-sadly these are sold out, but I have several bracelets from this shop and love them!
4. Shorts-These will match the headwrap perfectly and they are so cute for spring!
5. Peppa Pig coloring book from zulily. I knew I wanted to get a coloring book because she loves to color, but I wasn't sure what type until I saw this!
6. Minnie Mouse bowling set-what better way to expand a toddler's mind than with learning how to bowl! I firmly believe in learning through play.
7. BB8 Bunny-if you are a Star Wars fan, this shirt is just too adorable! Blue is the only color left, but I think It's still cute!
8. Bubbles-just because we love them
9. Toddler snacks-always a must!
10. Easter Mouse book-and of course her Easter basket wouldn't be complete without a book!

Have a happy day!
XOXO
